Some Chic² Motion

This post is a bit of a combination... I wanted to do some more CHIC coverage and I also wanted to talk about new stuff on the grid.

First off... Chic² is still in full swing until the 24th. I've been seeing such amazing things I couldn't help but go back for another look. With the double stacked display units packed with goodies I spent a lot time browsing and picked up some really good stuff. The dress (top), skin, and ring are all exclusive things form Chic².

Label Motion has a new location... and a new subscriber. Anne Dakun has released a new set of poses in celebration of the new location and build. This post set comes with two different cell phones and six poses . Hurry down to the new shop to get on the subscriber.

Also wanted to mention... when purchasing the Slink Ilena sandals they only go with the mesh rigged ones. Not the other... if you're a dumbie like me, you'll make that mistake even though the sign tells you. Yup... true story! Ty Sid Munro for being a super nice person to dumbies like me!! :)

Morgan

I usually wear my own shape because, like most bloggers and ladies on the grid, I like to be unique. The thought of someone else having the same shape as me is a little bit annoying. I recently came across a store called Suicidal Doper and I had to bite my tongue. The shapes by Linx Lysette are so original and unique looking that I decided to try some out for myself. I am showing you Morgan today, and I am in LOVE. The face is perfect. The cut of the nose, the full upper lip, the slant of the eye. I've been toying with the idea of changing my shape and I think Morgan will be my new face.

Culture Shock 2012

The 2nd annual Culture Shock has begun! This event opened on May 4th and will close on May 26th. It's a great even featuring art, music and tons of exclusive fashion.

Every store has a mandatory participation of one NEW and EXCLUSIVE (for the duration of the event) item that gives 50 - 100% of the profits to the charity. The proceeds from this even are going to Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders). When I saw the release of this new MAAI dress I was pretty excited. Creator Snow Wolfhunter has always done nice designs but now that mesh is included her pieces are at a whole new level. The Andy dress comes in seven different colours and each one has a belt included.

KIM has just released a whole new line of mesh platform heels. They're gorgeous! My favourite was the spring print because it has so many different colours that you can easily match with most outfits. I hope to show off a few more colours soon. Make sure you swing by KIM to look at the colour selection.

I'm crazy over this skin from Illusory. I dragged my friend to the store the other day to help me pick a tone. We decided on the Chai tone because I usually like a warmer, tanned tone. I especially enjoy wearing this skin because of its definition. I like the big, full lips, too.

I named this post after the peacocks in my pictures. It took FOREVER waiting for them to turn a certain way so I could snap my pictures. Friggin' birds! lol

Ladies Night

My friends and I were long overdue for a ladies night. I was so eager to spend time with them that I completely over looked that fact that they wanted to go to karaoke. I despise karaoke.

They managed to drag me onto the stage and I didn't know whether to run, scream of drop dead of stag fright. Needless to say my first attempt bombed. My friends tried a completely different tactic after seeing my utter disgust of singing in public.

While they took turns singing on stage they buttered me up with some booze. By the third or fourth shot of tequila I had the liquid courage I needed.

I sung my little heart out to "You Oughta Know". It's true that singing really helps you battle your emotions. ;)

I had a little smile by the end of my song.

I even sang a duet with Kae. She sounded great, but I'm pretty sure I'm totally tone deaf.

Perfect Love. Perfect Trust.

So my friends and I were chit-chatting about Halloween. Talking about costumes we were going to wear and what movies we wanted to watch. Someone brought up "The Craft", and we all started gushing about how we loved that movie. Gushing turned into dressing up and dressing up led to some pictures.

We were able to find this great little circle prop from the Marketplace. I already had a birdcage and someone had a fishbowl. We had our circle ready to go!

Gotta love that movie. It's one of the only witch themed movies that really sticks out in my mind. I still remember trying to play "stiff as a board, light as a feather" with my friends.

Leaves are slowly falling

I've finally gotten Kaelyn Alecto to be a guest on my blog. We were both ubber excited when we saw the new release from Shag - Falling Slowly. We were gushing about the style and the length and the texturing. We loved it so much we decided to wear it for this post.

If I haven't said it before I love Autumn. It's my favourite season. I love watching the leaves change colour and the weather getting chilly. When you live in a city you really begin to miss fall colours. I notice that on the feeds more and more people are starting to bring out the fall colours. I find myself doing the same thing. I just can't help it ;)

I really liked Kae's outfit. She wore this very drapey top and jean duo from Connors. It's perfect for this season.

Look at those SHOES! I mean c'mon... they're awesome. They're from a new (to me) store called "Leverocci". I had never been there until my friend told me I should check it out. Boy, was she right! I loved everything. I'll be heading back for more!!! Also, equally loving this new jacket from mon tissu.

It's all Fall

I got to spend the afternoon with some of my closest friends in SL. It was pretty nice. I even managed to convince one of them to pose with me for my first official Fall post. I loved the outfit Phedre was wearing, especially the tights. I also spotted some items that I also have. Do you and your friends ever end up buying the same things? It happens a lot with Phe and I. It's not like we even shop together but somehow we manage to buy the same thing and sometimes it's even in the same colour! lol

We've both had our eyes on the new release from CatWa. It was just lucky that we ended up wearing different styles. CatWa has just release 4 new hairstyles. The style I'm wearing has a script to change high-light colours! It's great. Make sure you swing by the main store to try on the demos. Bring your friends! ;)

Hair Fair 2011 - Part One

I've decided to break this into parts because of the sheer volume of AMAZING HAIR I have to post! Hair Fair opened at 12am SLT July 2nd. It's amazing. All the creators have made such great hairs. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to blog this event. I wanted to do everything, but obviously because of time/budget I won't be able to do that. There are tons and tons of bloggers covering this event so make sure you stalk the feeds for the next few weeks.

With that being said... onto my coverage:

Gotta say I pretty much loved all the styles [e] had out! However, I focused myself to pick my favourite and so I am wearing "With". I really love casual up-does especially with a headpiece.

Oh Magika... I really love the length and the braid at the bottom.

Pr!tty is new to me but I was digging this style. I especially loved the headpiece w/ feathers. I seem to be stuck on feathers lately. lol

Slink... I didn't know Slink did hair?! But I am super happy it was at Hair Fair. I really love this low pony style. I love the detail at the back with the braid.

Oh LeLutka... you cannot do wrong in my books. I really liked everything featured at the Hair Fair but again I forced myself to pick my favourite and "Knotted Hair" came out victorious.

CandyDoll just released new clothing starting with these super cute capri jeans. They're a lighter wash but perfect for the summer. The jeans look awesome with the new swim suits too. Super cute!!!! I think my favourite is the girly bathing suit. I really like the cut of it. These are def a must have if you're a bikini lover like me. ;)

These are two new hairstyles from CaTwA. They're called Lena and Salwa. Salwa comes in two versions. Try a demo!!!! I'm wearing eyes from FASHISM again. I'm totally addicted.

Dress me up!

My friend and I were discussing why we liked SL the other day. We both came to the conclusion it's because of the shopping. It's like we're little girls again, playing dress up with our Barbies. Except this time we get to customize EVERYTHING! The clothes, shoes and accessories are a thousand times better.

I wanted to show off a lot. Each of these outfits features a new-ish piece from a fabulous designer. I was eager to share it.

I really have to say that I'm a bargain shopper. Every blogger knows that this isn't a cheap hobby. It's expensive keeping up with the latest trends. So, needless to say when I see a sale I run!! For that reason I'm a huge fan of hunts, TFG, TDR, FLF, SBS and Lazy Sunday. If I failed to mention any, my bad!

New stuff at TFG! Woohoo! I'm always a happy girl when I get that notice. I grabbed this skin and these rocking earrings. The earrings come with three different versions, which is a great deal at only 70L$. I am wearing the new top and shoes from G-Field. Both are terrific. I really loved the boots.
