Some Chic² Motion

This post is a bit of a combination... I wanted to do some more CHIC coverage and I also wanted to talk about new stuff on the grid.

First off... Chic² is still in full swing until the 24th. I've been seeing such amazing things I couldn't help but go back for another look. With the double stacked display units packed with goodies I spent a lot time browsing and picked up some really good stuff. The dress (top), skin, and ring are all exclusive things form Chic².

Label Motion has a new location... and a new subscriber. Anne Dakun has released a new set of poses in celebration of the new location and build. This post set comes with two different cell phones and six poses . Hurry down to the new shop to get on the subscriber.

Also wanted to mention... when purchasing the Slink Ilena sandals they only go with the mesh rigged ones. Not the other... if you're a dumbie like me, you'll make that mistake even though the sign tells you. Yup... true story! Ty Sid Munro for being a super nice person to dumbies like me!! :)

Hanging out @ The Home Expo

This afternoon I got to spend some time at this year's Home Expo before it's open to the public. I was so excited to see the tons and tons of items set out. There is something for everyone. I took a few pictures to show you what to expect.

Tether's End Designs by Ishtar Roussel

The Garden Summer House comes with a whole bunch of accessories which are included with the purchase. This is a RFL item so make sure you pick it up and support the charity. 

Also featured is this super cute hammock with comes with couples poses and single poses.

Grace Brick House - fully furniture L$1,000 House only L$250

This house has two bedrooms and an open kitchen/living room. 

There is also a bathroom within the main bedroom. 

Next stop was Park Place Home Decor by DeAnn Dufaux

There were so many awesome items available at this shop. I took a picture of a few of my favourites.

I really liked this set, especially the ottoman. It was stacked with a ton of poses. 

The sofa set came with two side tables and accessories, another great grab from Park Place.

Silent Woods by Lukrezia Laval

The last item I'm showing is a fantastic little set from Silent Woods. I've never heard of Silent Woods prior to the expo but I'm very pleased that I found it. I placed this set in my house and love the details of the accessories. It's great for a small corner that needs a little sprucing up.

Roc Me Out

I've decided to give myself a little challenge (since we all know how good I am at those - rolls eyes). I'm going to do my next couple of posts and name them after Rihanna's "Talk that Talk" album. I'm really into it right now. It's great summer music. I figured if I do this, then every time I listen to it, it'll remind me to blog! lol I don't know if I'm necessarily trying to channel Rihanna into my looks, but I guess that might be fun too.



Anyway, on to the fashion bit... I am in love with all the colours available this season!! I've always been nervous about using too much colour but I'm really going to try harder this season to use more of it. I really love each of these outfits.

I went to visit the next collection at C88 and oh wow! I think I wanted every single item available. But, of course that wasn't possible so I picked up a few things to tide me over. I fell for the new hucci romper. I decided on white (go figure) and paired it up with some beautiful teal pump from MAAI.

Cassandra

Cassandra is the brand new skin out from creator Izzie Button of Izzie's. This skin is super special to me in more ways than one and I am so excited to have the chance to show her off. I started this post on a Sunday and finished it on a Monday. It took some time putting together six different looks but I wanted to show off all the beautiful tones Cassandra is available in. It also gave me the opportunity to show some of the new stuff available on the grid.

Cassandra is available in 6 different tones - as seen above. I really can't tell you wish is my favourite tone. I was switching between caramel and sunkissed but I just can't make up my mind.

Izzie has a ton of makeups with this skin. Each tone pack comes with 10 different eyeshadows and 10 lipsticks. It also has the option of a light and dark eyebrow, cleavage and freckles option. On top of the makeup that is included Izzie also released a new set of ten eye liners and lip glosses. They are sold separate as add-ons. Another thing I adorable about Izzie's skin is that they come with a nail base add on so your nails will always blend in better!!!

So much MESH hair - I want it all. I really love wearing mesh hair and the more I wear it the harder it is to go back to non-mesh hair. I think with all the new releases it might be time to clean out my inventory and make room for some new stuff. I am quite the hair hoarder so it's going to be tough getting rid of it.

I am in love with Wasabi Pills. This is the first time I've blogged it - SHOCKED? Yeah, me too. I don't know why I wasn't all over this place before. But, I figure I can make up for missed time. Out of the mesh hair creators, Wasabi Pills is the only one (that I know of) to make hair according to boob size. So all you big breasted women, have no fear this hair will fit over your lovely ta-tas. :)

MAITREYA MESH! 'nough said! O-M-G, I literally wanted all of the new releases but unfortunately my linden budget wouldn't allow for it. So, I settled for these oh so couture leggings with a built in boot and a sexy draped creme sweater.

Blue Jeans

This post was influenced by (1) Lana Del Rey's new music video for "Blues Jeans" & (2) the new mesh jeans at Mon Tissu. For the first picture I wanted to mimic the water blur effect in the video. It didn't come how exactly how I planned but I still liked it.

"Blue Jeans" is my favourite song from Lana Del Rey's album "Born to Die". The whole album is amazing but this song in particular is always on repeat. I've read a few reviews/opinions on the video and a lot of people say it's too dark. Well duh, it's filmed in black n' white. lol. But, I think it suits the song perfectly. If you haven't watch it, you might want to check it out.

A special thanks to my friend Tristan for putting up with me wanting a James Dean stand-in for my pictures. His patience was greatly appreciate especially since I had so many issues taking pics. Thanks buddy!!!!!

Okay... moving on... so the Mon Tissu jeans are PURE LOVE!!! I might have bought the fatpack, and it was worth every penny. :) My only problem with these jeans is that I feel that the space between the thighs is too wide. That didn't stop me from buying them and I'm happy I did cause the quality and design are excellent. Demos are available at the new main store location. The sim looks great. Lots of neat locations to take pictures.

I'm sporting the new release from lamb, which is MESH!!! Yeahhhhh! I have been nutty for mesh lately. I put on another pair of the new KIM platform heels. I love this blue. It just pops against white and I think it worked really well with my outfit.

Bri's Coquette

I wanted to share some of my new favourite things (p.s. I have many favourite things). One of two newest releases from N-core is the Coquette platform. These shoes are just in time for spring and are packed with new spring colours, too. N-core can do no wrong in my books, so naturally I love these shoes. Head down to the main store to check out the selection. Remember, when in doubt, fat pack!

Another thing I wanted to show off is this beautiful new skin from Izzie's. Izzie Button has always made wonderful clothing. Recently, she told me she had tried her hand at skins before, but never had a passion for it until now. I def think it shows. She's just released three new skins and the latest one is called "Brianna". Bri has been put out in all the basic tones including one red head special edition - which I'm wearing. If you follow my blog -> Vanity Circus you know I usually stick to browns and blondes. I don't generally wear red hair. However, when I put on this redhead edition of the Brianna skin I feel in love. I love the freckles and the eyebrows and the softness of the face. It's so fresh and young, perfect for spring. A little bird told me that Izzie is busy working on more skins, and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

Bri's Euphoria

Boots from N-core?!?!?!?! What?!?! I had a mini freak out when I tried on the latest release from N-core. They are perfection in a shoe. I have a feeling they're going to be one of the best boots of 2012. There are so many different options. You can change the socks, the laces, the heel, sole, etc... This is a fatpack MUST! Believe me ;)

Now, let's talk about Izzie and how she's been pumping out new skins. Her latest is called Brianna and I've seen her popping up everywhere on the grid. She's quite beautiful. For this post I wore the pale version. But, I plan on wearing a few other tones very soon.

Catching up

This post is long overdue! I recently had the chance to hang out with one of my closest friends in SL. I first met Kaelyn shopping... surprise surprise. We hit it off instantly. Shopping has a way of bringing ladies together. Since that day we've pretty much been best buddies. We try and spend time together when our schedules will permit. It's been difficult lately because I'm on a completely different time zone. So I'm waking up when she's heading to bed and vice versa.

I was able to steal Kae away from blogging and Tris for a few hours and we decided to head to a cafe to catch up. It amazing how much we have to talk about.
