Temp's V-day

I was sitting around on Valentine's day about to stuff myself with some delicious chocolate and other ripe treats when my phone rang. It was a number I hadn't seen for a while, but one that I remember all too well. The phone was cold against my ear but my skin flushed at the sound of his voice.

"Temp... it's been a while."

"Yes," I managed to reply. "How is ... wherever you are now?"

He laughed, "I'm home now, actually. Was seeing if you wanted to catch up?"

"On Valentine's day?"

"... really, that's today?" He paused. "Well... shit, it is. What do you say Temp, wanna be my Valentine?"

"I like how you assume I don't have plans." I pretended to be annoyed but as I considered my actual v-day plans I couldn't even manage to continue the guile. I sighed, "But, you're right, I don't have a date."

"Mhm." He chuckled.

"Shutup!"

"I'll be at you place around seven."

"Alright."

I put the phone down and frowned. What was I going to wear??? It's every girl's worst nightmare. An old fling is back in town who invites you out and you don't have anything to wear?

I decided to run down to the latest edition of TDR and pick up a beautiful mesh dress from Ricielli. I paired it with N-core heels which are so versatile, I don't even know why I take them off. I stopped by Shag for the latest hair style and get my face fancied up by the one and only Lara Hurley.

I managed to make it home, shower and get ready before he showed up. I was leaning against my sofa putting on my lipstick when he knocked and walked in. I turned to look at him and memories flooded back. Some good, some bad and some pretty mind-blowing.

He smirked and walked over to give me a kiss hello. "You look great."

"Thanks. You're not looking too bad yourself. How have you been?"

"Fine... good, great. I've been here and there. This is the first time in a while that I've managed to make it home. I couldn't resist calling you. I'm happy you were free."

I winked at him and he took my hand.

We had dinner at one of our old haunts. It's a quant little bistro with great italian food and even better wine. It's one of my favourite places.

We spent hours talking and catching up. It's like we haven't lost anytime at all and we fell back into our old comfortable ways. The night neared midnight and he walked me to my door. He lingered there and I reminded myself it was Valentine's Day. I took his hand and he closed the door behind him.

I'm not one to kiss and tell. But, I do believe in happy endings!

Dress me up!

My friend and I were discussing why we liked SL the other day. We both came to the conclusion it's because of the shopping. It's like we're little girls again, playing dress up with our Barbies. Except this time we get to customize EVERYTHING! The clothes, shoes and accessories are a thousand times better.

I wanted to show off a lot. Each of these outfits features a new-ish piece from a fabulous designer. I was eager to share it.

I really have to say that I'm a bargain shopper. Every blogger knows that this isn't a cheap hobby. It's expensive keeping up with the latest trends. So, needless to say when I see a sale I run!! For that reason I'm a huge fan of hunts, TFG, TDR, FLF, SBS and Lazy Sunday. If I failed to mention any, my bad!

New stuff at TFG! Woohoo! I'm always a happy girl when I get that notice. I grabbed this skin and these rocking earrings. The earrings come with three different versions, which is a great deal at only 70L$. I am wearing the new top and shoes from G-Field. Both are terrific. I really loved the boots. The skirt from Nyte N' Day is also new!!!
